your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous.
the gods wait to delight in you.
—Charles Bukowski

I specialize in working with women in life transition.

If you are interested in working with me, you want to get to know yourself better. This is therapy focusing on your history, needs, strengths and weaknesses, and how you would like to reach your goal. Relational, trauma-focused work, it produces long-lasting change. In truth, we will both be getting to know you: this type of therapy helps know yourself in a new way, using insight to address specific problems in your life, and achieve desired outcomes.

While I am a clinical generalist, I specialize in my own lived experience issues: those of addiction, mood disorders and female-oriented life challenges. I am also a Focusing-oriented trainer, specializing in body-based--somatic--work. To date, I have helped women navigate issues of depression and anxiety, addiction, grief, relationship unrest, and more.

We all need to answer the question posed by poet Mary Oliver: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” As a journalist and bestselling author who made a significant career switch in her sixties, I help women live large. We live many-chaptered lives, and it is possible to make the most of the adventure. Let’s work together.
